Come Talk To Joan

Joanta Holmes

As an LMFT Associate (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate), my deepest passion is helping individuals, couples, and families overcome life’s obstacles and gain the essential tools needed to achieve their most meaningful goals in a Non-Judgmental space created just for you.

I believe that within every person resides the strength and resilience required to navigate life’s challenges. As a mother of five, a former foster child, and someone who has personally walked through divorce, I understand firsthand the weight of complex family dynamics, emotional wounds, and major life transitions. These experiences shape the compassion, authenticity, and deep empathy I bring into every session.

My role is to partner with you, offering a collaborative, culturally responsive, and supportive space for genuine transformation. I honor the unique identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences each client carries—and I am committed to ensuring therapy is a place where people from all cultures, races, genders, and walks of life feel seen, valued, and empowered.

💖 My Approach to Healing

I use a holistic, inclusive, and empathetic approach to therapy, focusing on the intricate dynamics that shape relationships and families. Every session is grounded in open dialogue, unconditional positive regard, and cultural humility.

I create a sacred and affirming space where you can freely express yourself without fear of judgment or rejection—a space where trust can grow and healing can begin.

Drawing on a collaborative and strengths-based approach, using evidence based approaches.

I help you explore your story, break free from limiting patterns, cultivate self-awareness, and build the confidence needed to step boldly into your purpose.

Guided by an unyielding faith in God, I honor the role of spirituality in the therapeutic process and welcome its integration in ways that align with your beliefs, culture, and values.

🌍 Diversity, Inclusion & Cultural Awareness

As someone who has experienced the foster care system, family transition, and the complexity of rebuilding life after divorce, I am especially committed to serving diverse and underserved communities. I work with minority families, multiracial households, various Religions, blended families, immigrant backgrounds, and anyone impacted by intergenerational or collective trauma.

I believe therapy should be a place where differences are celebrated, identities are affirmed, and every client feels welcomed exactly as they are.
